Special Stitches
FpHdc-YO, insert hook behind and around the post of previous row, YO and pull up, YO and pull through all 3 loops.

BpHdc– YO, insert hook from back to front around the post of previous row, YO and pull up, YO and pull through all 3 loops.

Sc2Tog- Insert hook in first st, YO and pull up loop, insert hook into next st, YO and pull up loop, YO and pull through all 3 loops on hook.

1: Using yarn [A], ch1, 8 hdc, join to beginning hdc. (8)

2: ch1, 2 hdc in the same st and in each st around. Join to beginning hdc (16)

3: ch1, *1 hdc in the next st, 2 hdc in the next st* repeat around. Join to beginning hdc. (24)

4: ch1, *1 hdc in the next 2 sts, 2 hdc in the next* repeat around, join to beginning st.(32)

5: ch1, *1 hdc in the next 3 sts, 2 hdc in the next* repeat around, join to beginning st. (40)

6: ch1, *1 hdc in the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in the next* Repeat around, join to beginning st (48)

7: ch1, *1 hdc in the next 5 sts, 2 hdc in the next*  Repeat around, join to beginning st (56)

8-13: ch1, 1 hdc in the same st and each st around. Repeat around, join to beginning st (56)

Ear Flaps (Switch to yarn [C])  *Use 4.0mm (G Hook)

Join in the 6th st from where hat is finished off. Next 14 sts will be the first flap.

1: ch1, sc in same st, sc in the next 13 st (14)

2: ch1, sc in same st and each st across, turn. (14)

3: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (13)

4: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (12)

5: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (11)

6: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (10)

7: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (9)

8: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (8)

9: ch1, sk first st, sc in next st and each st across, turn. (7)
